Deficiencies of Secondary Nutrients in Crop Plants—A Real Challenge to Improve Nitrogen Management
نویسندگان
چکیده
Secondary nutrient (e.g., calcium, magnesium, sulfur) deficiencies in crop plants disturb the nitrogen balance plants, thus reducing overall yield. This hypothesis was analyzed based on physiological functions of these nutrients, relation to uptake and utilization N, plants. Nitrogen by requires a well-developed root system, size which depends supply calcium. process is largely controlled content toxic aluminum soil, can be mitigated through application lime and/or gypsum. In humid climates, excessive calcium occurs during water shortages; this significantly interferes with N uptake. Magnesium, affects plant growth throughout growing season, effectively control Magnesium deficiency ameliorated soil- or foliar-applied fertilizers. These stages define timing sampling determination N:S ratio, as an indicator nutritional status. The Mg, S, MgS facilitates higher productivity fertilizer narrowing N:Mg ratios use secondary nutrients allow farmers obtain high yields while both production costs environmental risks.

This study setout to investigate the effect of wheat residue, tillage, and nitrogen fertilizer management on some agronomic traits of soybean as a split split plot based on randomized complete block design with three replications. The main plots included wheat residue management: collecting and leaving residue and sub plot included tillage (without tillage and conventional tillage), and the sub...

Calcium Absorbed form the soil as the cation, Ca. Most calcium uptake occurs near the root tip. Poorly translocated within the plant. Deficiencies of Ca first affect the growing points of plants, including root tips. Calcium is important for cell wall formation and the integrity of cell membranes. Sensitive crops to Ca deficiency and characteristic symptoms. Crop Symptoms Peanuts Old leaves hav...
